Reference Images

Place and view images in your Polysketch scene! This is a great way to build from reference, certainly much better than taking the headset on and off! We hope to add web browsing and downloading soon as well.

On-Hand Viewing

  1. In a scene, open the Menu
  2. At the bottom, click over to the “Images” tab
  3. Click any image to select it for quick viewing later
  4. Now you can instantly view that image, anytime, by pulling the joystick backward

Placing Images in the Scene

  1. In a scene, open the Menu
  2. At the bottom, click over to the “Images” tab
  3. Point at an image, then pull the grabber to “pick up” that image – now you can place it anywhere in your scene, just like a regular object

Adding Images to the App

For a specific scene

Recommended method! By adding images to a scene’s folder, they will only show up while editing that scene. Nice and organized 🙂

  1. Connect your headset to a PC
  2. Click “Allow” in the headset pop-up
  3. On the PC, navigate to “This PC\Quest 2\Internal shared storage\android\data\com.PolysketchLLC.polysketch\Files\SaveFiles”
  4. Open the scene folder, eg “Scene_003”
  5. Place your images into this folder

For all scenes

Messy, but useful. These images will show up for all scenes.

  1. Connect your headset to a PC
  2. Click “Allow” in the headset pop-up
  3. On the PC, navigate to “This PC\Quest 2\Internal shared storage\Documents\Polysketch\ReferenceImages”
  4. Place your images into this folder
